Kindergarten Teacher Email Phone: 715-251-4541 ext 212 My name is Amanda Perry-Dollar. I teach 4-Year-Old Kindergarten and Elementary P.E. at Niagara Public Schools. This is my eighth year with the district. I have been teaching 4K for the past seven years, but I taught Kindergarten my first year in the district. I graduated from Kingsford High School, then went on to St. Norbert College to pursue my education degree. Upon graduating I worked for AmeriCorps in Iron Mountain where I tutored students and organized community projects. Then I taught preschool in Forest Park for two years before finding my way to Niagara. I love teaching and it is my passion! In my spare time I love to: scrapbook, take pictures, cheer on the Detroit Red Wings, and spend time with my family. What is 4K? 4K is in its seventh year already! This is a superb program to get your 4-and 5-year-olds ready to enter Kindergarten. Our students attend school for three full days a week. During this time we focus on academic skills such as: letter recognition; producing letter sounds; writing; number recognition; counting; etc. The 4K curriculum lays the groundwork necessary to be successful in Kindergarten. We utilize play to teach social skills, problem solving, and critical thinking. This is my second year teaching Elementary P.E. (4K-4th grade) and I love it! Our focus is teaching your child the importance of physical activity and how fun it can be! We incorporate teamwork, problem solving, and effort into our games and activities. P.E. is every Tuesday and Thursday.
